Here in Australia, local city councils encourage graffiti writers by providing “legal graffiti walls” at various public parks and spaces. The Northern Beaches area near Sydney offers several spots but it’s obvious which walls the locals prefer. Allambie is definitely a favourite with its prime location on a large soccer field near the main road. If you paint a piece here, there’s no doubt it will be seen by all those passing by. I took this photo of Meak, one of the local graffiti writers. He had just finished painting his piece and was cleaning up, ready to call it a day.
