In Australia, the basic fruit flavours are totally different. You won’t find any classic American staples like strawberry, watermelon, apple, orange, banana, or grape. Instead, you get fruit pairings or flavours you’ve never even considered like fig & ginger, blood orange, or forest fruits (what is that?). While it’s fun discovering new flavours, sometimes all you crave are the basics you grew up with. Sigh. Maybe someday strawberry ice cream will catch on here.
