Les Miserables in Sydney

Yesterday I ran around the city to wrap up some final errands.  Caroline happened to be free so we met up and spent the afternoon joining the bustling crowds at the shops.  Knowing that Christmas is only a few days away and boat loads of tourists now happened to be in town, we weren’t too shocked by the amount of people lining the streets.  However, it still seemed unusually overcrowded, especially around Pitt Street where a red carpet was being rolled out and gates were being set up all along the footpath.  It wasn’t until later that we realized what all the fuss was about.
