Tamarama Beach

Yesterday I caught up with my friend Sarah to take advantage of the gorgeous Sydney autumn weather. What better place to relax than the quiet little beach cove in Tamarama? It’s definitely one of the best beaches I’ve been to in Australia. The waves are mellow, the sand is smooth, and the showers/restrooms have a modern design and feel and are incredibly immaculate (considering they are public). They have several clusters of shaded tables and benches for hosting family picnics and parties, outdoor bbq grills, a large grassy lawn area, and even a small playground for the kiddos. And just in case you’re feeling a bit peckish, they’ve got a small cafe that serves up snacks and beverages. Lifeguards, no crowds, and plenty of space for everyone. This beach ticks all the boxes on my list. Note to all tourists: ditch Bondi and head over to Tamarama instead.
